Started like a week ago with simplymaya.com's Apache modeling tutorial. I think the best way get better in something is to learn from others, how they work, think and so on. Even though you think you might know a lot about one thing, there still are endless tips and tricks that makes your workflow better. It's these small things that makes it so much easier, for examples in Maya I've never used custom shells before, it worked perfectly fine without it but it's these few extra klicks with the mouse that might make you tired of what you do.

I'm the Chief Marketing Officer of Gamers Edge. (www.gamersedge.tv) A company devoted to bringing the gaming communities day-to-day news coverage of online games; Counter-Strike Source, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike 1.6, Fifa 2009 and Left 4 Dead. We provide both online and lan coverage of major events hosted by our tournament managers and by event centers in sponsorship with Gamers Edge. We're currently sponsored by: Red Bull, Razer, Next Generation Servers, WCAGear and NZXT. We host our own tournament lan events around the United States with our sponsors backing to provide the community with an arsenal of prizes and money from Gamers Edge. On an online basis we provide news content of events that partook in the gaming world, a release of top ten plays of the week pergame and broadcasting of the events by our professional media staff.
We have the Chief Editor from the "Championship Gaming Series" the TV series that brought you professional gaming. We also have nine writers that worked for the CGS in our writing department, so professionalism is key. Our investors range on a global business level: Holiday Inn, WCAGear and FentonDesign Studio.
We're looking for numerous things to be completed for us before we let our marketing staff release the company:
1) 3D work, a logo sketched/rendered/animated.
2) Numerous video promotional pieces produced.
3) Graphic Design worked based on our 2d logo.
4) Backsite website code done.
5) Possibility of a fresh website layout. (Currently working with about 15-17 web design companies in discussing a perfect overlay.)
6) Vectors of our logo made.
